Jordan Christian Van Leeuwen

Born December 3rd, 1985, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Died December 24th, 2019 in Victoria, B.C. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jordan Christian Van Leeuwen on December 24th, 2019. After a long struggle with Crohn's disease he died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 35. He is sorely missed by his family and friends and will live long in our hearts and minds. He goes to join his cherished mother, Colleen who passed away in 2004. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Lilyanne Rose Van Leeuwen (4). Jordan spent most of his growing up years in Winnipeg & Victoria and loved to travel & live back and forth. He collected friends wherever he lived and treasured each and every one. He attended University of Victoria and Red River College in Winnipeg. He was a whiz in business and economics and could have gone on to attain great accomplishments.
He is mourned by his father, Donn Van Leeuwen, and his brother, Joshua Van Leeuwen. His nephews and niece were the delight of his life: Noah (13), Ben (9), & Juliette (5) Van Leeuwen. He will be greatly missed by his stepmother, Laura, Grandmother, & Grandfather, Donna & Nick Van Leeuwen, Uncle, Terry Van Leeuwen, & Aunt, Kim Van Leeuwen.
Jordan attended Pacific Christian High School in Victoria and made many lifelong friends there. He will be missed by a myriad of friends and teachers there as well.
We are comforted by contemplating this great Christian truth: John 11:25 Jesus said ... "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
