"Those who walk uprightly enter into peace: They find rest as they lie in death." - Isaiah 57:2 It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Farrell announces his passing after a series of strokes, on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016, at the age of 85. Joe will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Jane and his step-children David and Robyn Osby and Tim and Ashley Osby and his 11 grandchildren. Joe will also be fondly remembered by his brother and sister-in-law Bernard and Brenda Farrell. Joe was pre-deceased by his father and mother, John Patrick and Bridget Farrell and brothers Jim Farrell and John Farrell. Born in Bircotes, Nottinghamshire on July 17th, 1930, Joe was passionate about the beauty the world had to offer. After graduating from De La Salle College and the School of Accounting in Glasgow, and serving time in the Royal Air Force, Joe embarked on a long and distinguished career in accounting that took him through Europe and the Middle East before settling in Canada where he married and set up roots. In his lifelong quest for beauty and purity, Joe settled in Victoria where he lived out the last decade of his life in his version of heaven on earth. Joe was a skilled bridge and chess player and loved investing in the stock market. Joe led by example in life and will be missed by many.
