"Dave" had a long career in the shipyards mainly at HMC dockyard in Esquimalt, where he excelled as a tradesman.
Dad was one of the original members of the Quarter Milers Car Club, He was also an active member of the Early Ford V8 Club where he met many car enthusiasts like himself. Dad had a passion for automobiles, he was definitely a 'Ford' man. Dads friends too were very important to him and he loved playing practical jokes on them. An annual trip to a swap meet with his buddies he was never one to come home empty handed! He was a bona-fide collector!
Dad's favourite place was his garage on his acreage on Conway Rd. A gentle man, he loved and cared for many family pets, including most recently, his beloved dog Daisy.
Dave is pre-deceased by his brother Ronald who passed earlier this year, and his mother Doris and father Massie. Dad will be missed by a great many friends and family members, and his memory will live on through his children and grandchildren.
We would like to thank the doctors and emergency room staff at the RJH that gave Dad such good care.
Celebration of Life will held at a later date in the new year.
