Keith Harley De Armond

KEITH HARLEY DE ARMOND was born on February 14, 1929 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was the third of four children born to Ethel & Lester DeArmond. Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 18 years, Ann Creer of Victoria, BC and his only sister Ellen (Bill) Cuppen (Flint) of Cranbrook, BC. He was predeceased by his two elder brothers, Rupert (Myrtle) of Courtenay, BC and Clarence (Mary) of Edmonton, AB. Keith was also predeceased by his first wife, Evangeline Safioles and his first child, Debbie. Two more daughters from this marriage survive; Leslie (Jim) McDavid of Claresholm, AB and Kathy (Danny) Boldt of Stavely, AB. Also mourning his passing are his second wife Elizabeth DeArmond of Victoria and their three children; Marischal (Laurie) DeArmond of Victoria, BC, Richard DeArmond (Barbara McIntyre) of Mayne Island, BC and Heather (Michael) Matson of Langley, BC. These five children bore him eleven grandchildren; Trevor, Michael, Holly, Evangeline, Dayton, Kayley, Brooke, Alexis, John, David and Luke, as well as one great-grandchild, Carlo. They, along with numerous nieces and nephews will also miss him in their lives. Keith spent years in Saskatoon, SK, Vancouver, BC, Cranbrook, BC, Lethbridge, AB and ultimately Victoria, BC. He passed away quietly in the excellent care of the Victoria Hospice Society on May 6, 2015 at the age of 86 with his wife Ann and son Richard at his side. A Celebration of Life will be held for Keith in Victoria at Beacon Hill Park on June 8, 2015.
