It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my devoted husband Ken, after a heart wrenching struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. This amazing man kept a twinkle in his eye as he told numerous jokes to loved ones, friends and staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital until the very end.

Ken was born in Port Arthur, Ontario (Thunder Bay, ON) to the late Melvin and Margaret Gibson and grew up with 9 siblings. He was intelligent, artistic and a lover of nature. His work in mining exploration afforded him the opportunity to see pristine areas away from civilization; and he loved seeing animals live in their natural habitat.

During his retirement, Ken was also a Victoria Harbour Ferry Skipper, giving tours up the beautiful Gorge Waterway.

45 years of marriage was way too short to spend with you my love.
