Ken Jones was born to entertain - and he spent his life embracing his love of singing, music, and making people happy. His greatest joy was in helping to create a wonderful family life with his beloved wife of 54 years, Sue, children: Brian (Jan), Bonny (Steve), Terry (Fatima), and grandchildren: Candice, Michael, Kyle, David, Andy, Kate and Nara and his furry, four footed friend, Casey. Most of the pictures of Ken in the family collection find him surrounded by his family and friends, which is where he was happiest. His bright smile, deep voice and love of laughter were born out of a sincere faith which sustained him through his life and his death. After moving to Victoria in 2002 Ken and Sue made many friends in their neighbourhood and at St. Michael and All Angels' Anglican Church. Ken added to his fan base as he shared his love of music in choir and at church social events. Ken died peacefully, surrounded by so much love after a valiant battle with COPD, an illness which slowed him down but never defined him. Ken came out of a coma like state in ICU this summer and almost immediately began serenading the nurses, sharing his Tim Bits and creating a celebratory atmosphere amid the noisy machines which helped him breathe. Ken loved his family even more than he loved singing and he shared with quiet pride all of their accomplishments and interests. Ken was an avid sports fan and saved some of his rowdiest cheers for the Maple Leafs and Manchester United. He was an example to all who had the great pleasure of knowing him and we will always remember that grace, hospitality, warmth and kindness were "his way." "And now, the end is near; And so I face the final curtain. My friend, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. I've lived a life that's full. I've traveled each and every highway; And more, much more than this, I did it my way." Paul Anka
