Kerry Conrad

Kerry Susan Conrad - June 23, 1952 - January 01, 2015 - died peacefully at the Victoria Hospice. Kerry is now reunited with her one true love, Mike. She was the beloved daughter of Kathleen Conrad and the late Edgar Conrad and sister to Eric (Peggy), Kathy (Mark) and Cheryl (Rick). Kerry was much loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful artist - Chinese brush painting, watercolour, acrylics and sculpting. Kerry loved beautiful things and was able to capture so much of this through her photography. She was a competitive pool player and stunt kite flyer. Kerry loved to dance and knew how to have fun - nothing will be the same without her. Our family would like to thank the staff at the BC Cancer Centre and the Victoria Hospice for the superb care that Kerry received throughout her illness. Special thanks to Dr. Catherine Fitzgerald, Dr. Geoff Inman and the VIHA Nursing team for making this difficult journey more bearable. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Congregational Church, 3621 Lawrencetown Rd., Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia at 2 pm on Sunday, 17 May. It will be a relatively short service followed by some light refreshments and a chance to enjoy some of the "Kerry" photos that we have gathered. There will not be a graveside ceremony. In keeping with Kerrys e-mail closings - Take care and think happy thoughts (the scent of new mown grass, warm sand between your toes, double rainbows, waves crashing on the beach, hot fudge sundaes). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Victoria Hospice, BC Cancer Foundation, the Red Cross or Sandy Merriman House would be appreciated.
