Our Leslie, our sister, our daughter our mother, Grandmother, and the oldest of four children, left us suddenly on Saturday July 6 2013 after a short battle with cancer that she had courageously overcome two years prior. She slipped away peacefully to go to a better place and be out of pain and with her beloved father, James P. Stone, who pre-deceased her on July 11, 2008. Leslies beauty shined on in every way possible. She had a smile and big beautiful blue sparkling eyes that lit up the world! Her warm, charming and laid back personality made everyone around her feel comfortable, and as if she was their best friend. She was selfless beyond words till the end, always putting her friends, and the needs of her loved ones cares and concerns first. Her beauty and love continues on, and she is lovingly remembered and survived by her Mother Deanne Stone, her three children, Katie D. Plumb (Rob), Mark J. Hardie, Mackenzie Valentine, Grandchild Olivia Plumb, her three brothers, Robert, Mathew (Heather) and Gregory Stone, and her two beautiful nieces, Sierra and Santana Stone, and her step-father Ross Wright. Leslie was an amazing mother, a professional businesswoman, and a best friend. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, graduated from Handsworth Secondary School in North Vancouver and continued on to graduate with a teaching degree from the Idaho State University in Moscow Idaho. She was crowned The Homecoming Queen. Leslie was a lady with many talents in swimming the Butterfly Stroke, snow skiing and water-skiing! She was an Executive Administrator at the Prince Rupert Hospital, and received her diploma in Business Administration shortly after overcoming her first bout with cancer. We Love you mother, daughter, wife, grandma, sister, granddaughter, niece and best friend. You will always be on our minds and in our hearts forever. A service is being scheduled and a Celebration of Leslies Life will be held in Victoria on Monday July 29 at The Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort and Spa from 1 pm 4 pm. In Lieu of flowers please donate to your local cancer society/agency.
