Lili Kuhnert

Lili Kuhnert 1927-2024

Lili was born June 9, 1927 in Musejewka, Russia and passed away in Victoria, BC on September 3, 2024.

Lili joined the love of her life, Lorne S Kuhnert who predeceased her in 2007, her parents Rudolph and Hilda Nikolai and her sister Madeline Hall. Left to mourn her are her daughters Barbara (Gordon), Karen (Joe), Glenda, Leanne (Craig) and Teresa ( Casey), her grandchildren Sean, Amber, Caitlin, Eric, Kenny, Laurel, Terren, Brett, Isaac, Emma, Carly, Lucas and Tara and her great grandchildren Io, Nikolai, Brylie, Bauer and Fallon-Rose.

Mom grew up on the family farm in Olds Alberta and after graduating high school she worked as a valued employee of the Royal Bank. She was always proud to say that she helped to start a brand new bank branch in Sundrie AB . After meeting the love of her life, they married and moved to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island where they raised their five girls and became dedicated members of the Nanaimo First Baptist Church. Mom cherished her lifelong friends, her family, extended family and her church community.

Much gratitude is given to mom’s good friend Lorna Brown for her support and care, Kiwanis House –Nanaimo for all their support and the Luther Court staff in Victoria who provided excellent care in mom’s last few months.
