Lynda Grant

On the morning of May 30th 2014 Lynda Grant passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC She was 69 years of age. Lynda was the loving partner of Jim Scammell, they enjoyed living in Victoria with their little dog Tippy. Lynda was born to Leslie and Constance Sylvester on February 26th 1945 and grew up on the east side of Vancouver. She was the youngest of 4 and the sister of Garnet(Bud), Lillian and Leslie Sylvester. She met Richard Grant and Married in 1965 They had three sons Richard, Kevin and Darren Grant who along with their wives Lilliana, Kim and Erin gave her 9 wonderful Grandchildren Kayla, Jordan, Dexter, Natalie, Katrina, Hayden, Liam, Faith, Amelia, and one great granddaughter Kamryn. Prior to living in Victoria with Jim she lived in the Tsawwassen and Ladner area for 13 years. She raised her three sons in North Vancouver and after that she moved to the Mission/Abbotsford area and worked at the Mission association for community living until she retired in 1999. Lynda was a generous and loving spirit; she loved Christmas, family dinners, shopping, murder mysteries, and scotch mints. She was witty and provided our family with lots of laughter, she will be missed dearly by her friends and family. Lynda, Mom, Nana we are so grateful for your unwavering and never ending love May you rest in peace on your little pink cloud.
