Peggy Graham

May 20, 1938 — May 18, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret (Peggy) Graham, a beloved wife, mother, Nana, and friend. Peggy was born in Northern Ireland on May 20, 1938, and she peacefully passed in her sleep on May 18, 2025, in Victoria, British Columbia. In recent years, Peggy faced the challenges of dementia but was otherwise in good health.

Peggy’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and selflessness. In 1967, she immigrated to Canada with her beloved husband David and their young son Stephen. After 21 years in Ontario, the family made their home in Victoria, leaving behind many dear friends with whom she remained closely connected. Thankfully, Peggy made friends wherever she went — her warm and generous spirit endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

At the heart of her home, Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. Her cheerful spirit, love of entertaining, and legendary cooking and baking were the cornerstones of family life. No matter the hour, she was always up and ready to make breakfast for her loved ones — always with warmth and a smile.

Peggy’s love for her granddaughters knew no bounds. She was deeply involved in their lives, from teaching them to ride bikes, to cheering at soccer and baseball games, to attending countless performances — including one the night before her passing. Her nurturing nature and unwavering support were a source of strength and inspiration to her family.

Her role as Nana extended beyond her own family to the many children she spent time with over the years, including John and Tim Hardy, and Hayden and Cam Repas — all of whom held a special place in her heart.

What began as a volunteer role with the P.A.C.E. Musical Theatre program soon blossomed into nearly 20 years of invaluable contributions. Peggy was a constant presence at rehearsals and shows — preparing coffee, selling tickets and candy bags for the kids, and offering help wherever it was needed.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband David, son Stephen (Janet), and granddaughters Jessica (Tyson) and Krista (Corey). She is also survived by her sister Mary, and was predeceased by her brothers Samuel and William, and sister June.
