STEPHENS, Diana
Diana Stephens, born in 1945, passed away on April 1, 2024. Her life journey took her from Montreal to Toronto and finally to Victoria, embracing each location's unique beauty and opportunities. Diana found joy in art, sculpting with marble, alabaster, and bronze, and painting seascapes, often incorporating elements found during her beachcombing adventures.
Despite a late start, she pursued elder care education in the 1990s, founding Gentlewoman Service, showcasing her caring and entrepreneurial spirit.
Known for her love of travel and sweets, Diana's explorations were as much about discovering the world's beauty as they were about sampling its culinary delights. Her condo in Victoria, a true reflection of her taste, was a welcoming haven for all.
Pre-deceased by her brother lan Stephens, she cherished her family deeply - her children Stephen, Emily-Jane, Patrick, Chris, and grandchildren Georgia, Molly, Josephine, Desheka, Frances, and Dylan. Diana's sisters Mary-Pat Hebert and Caroline Marshall, alongside her family, continue to celebrate her legacy of creativity, compassion, and adventure.
Her Celebration of Life will be held in Victoria at Somerset House (Amica) from 1-3 pm on April 5, honoring a life vibrantly lived and deeply felt by those around her. A Celebration of Life will take place in Toronto in June.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Victoria Women in Need Community Cooperative (https://www.womeninneed.ca/)
