Margaret Stubbs

Stubbs, Margaret Irene (nee Mason) R.N. July 13, 1944-January 1, 2014 Margaret sadly left us on New Years Day,surrounded by her loving family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her best friend and beloved partner Barry Kershaw, their special cat, Magic and their dog Zeah. Pre-deceased by her parents Joe and Irene Mason also her husband Barry Stubbs. Margaret is survived by beloved partner and best friend Barry Kershaw, her sister Beryl (Ian) Cook, her brother Gordon (Gladys) Mason, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Killarny, Manitoba, Margarets lifetime ambition, since the age of 16, was always nursing. After her graduation from Winnipeg General, she started her Nursing career in Ninette, Manitoba. Margaret then moved to Victoria, BC, in 1965 where she continued nursing at St.Josephs Hospital, as head nurse in ICU. When the Victoria General Hospital opened in 1982, Margaret transferred there, as head nurse in ICU, where she was loved and respected by both doctors and fellow nurses alike. Margaret retired from the Victoria General Hospital (recovery room PAR) in 2004. Retirement opened up new adventures for Margaret, which included, boating, camping, gardening, cards, jazz and travelling through Greece, Hawaii, across Canada /US, especially south during the winter. special thanks to the staff at San. Pen. Hospital - Palliative care the Victoria Hospice the Mount Newton Society and Drs. W. Wetzer and C. Duncan. Margaret will be forever and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
