Margot Ruby Currie

Margot Ruby Currie (nee Benson), 1933-2020 Born in New Westminster BC. Mother, Grandmother, Friend, best friend and confidante to so many passed away in Glengarry Care Home on December 10, 2020.
She is predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate Jim, her son Mark (who is at this moment dancing with her), her soulmate in her later years Leen (our Jazz man), sisters Yvonne and Yvette, sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Neil and lost much too soon - grandson Isaac. She will be forever remembered and lovingly cherished by her adoring family who will miss her with every breath they breathe; children Linda (Tony), Mark (Juanita), Brenda (Freddie), Brian (Christine), Pat (Dave). Grandchildren: Coleen (Andy), Tara (Gary), Nick (Alex), Tiffany (Andrew), Michael, Zack (Kat), Jessie (Stewart), Mariah, Amanda, Cheryl (Graeme) and many beloved great-grandchildren. Margot was an extra special soul to so many, she was unconditional in her love of all - her family first and foremost (ALL of her families friends….) and her numerous friends. Family was her pride and joy, her very reason for all that she overcame in her lifetime.
It was not an easy life for Margot, having had polio as a child, being told she would never walk or have children, she walked until her later years and had 4 amazing, loving children. Her love of family allowed her to overcome challenges in life and not just overcome, but surpass everything she was told she could not do.
All that knew Margot know this simple fact : you do not tell Margot Ruby Currie what she cannot do, she will prove you wrong. Every. Single. Time.
Margot now soars with the angels, will never be far from us and we will always "carry her in our hearts, we carry her in our hearts"
