Marlene Joan Christianson

Marlene (Mikey) Joan Christianson age 80 years, of Langford BC, passed away suddenly at home by cardiac arrest. Marlene was born in Victoria to Roland and Jessie Moody. She attended North Ward Elementary and Victoria High School. She married George Christianson on December 12 1953 and had 5 children. Mom worked at the Empress and Strathcona hotels,Sherwood Inn and the Cadet training centre at Albert Head, and later volunteered for the Metchosin Lioness club. Marlene is survived by her husband George, children Susan Lupton (Geoff Smith), Michael Christianson (Pam McIsaac), Chris Christianson (Nadine) of Powell River, BC, and David Christianson of Mackenzie BC. She also leaves ten grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, siblings Terry, Jim, Gord, and Peter Moody, Lizz Padovan, Eileen Pavitt, Deb Moody, Tom ONeil,many cousins, nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Maggie. Marlene was predeceased by her son Richard in June 2013. There will be a celebration of her life in the new year. She is sadly missed.
