Mei Qing Tang

Mei Qing Tang, 60, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022 in Victoria, BC.

She leaves behind cherished son William, daughter Lena, husband Robert, sister Ting Yu, sister Tine, and brother Chun Rong, mother-in-law Lai Sang, sister in law Amy, brother in law Chung Lee, Quan, and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents Bei Run Tang, and Jen Yan Zheng.

Mei emigrated to Ottawa, Canada at the age of 28 from Guangzhou, China. She was a member of the Chinese Christian Church of Ottawa and worked in various service jobs within the Chinese community in Ottawa, Nortel and Sanmina as an electronic assembler, and an accountant with MKP. She was always grateful for the opportunities and loving support from these communities.

She was a loving mother, caretaker, and provider. Her legacy lives on in her two children, who are both first generation university and graduate students.

Friends are invited to a celebration of life to be held in June (TBD) in Ottawa.
