Michael Anthony Wedgwood

It is with deep sadness and loss that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Wedgwood at the age of fifty-four.

Over the years, Michael suffered from ongoing health issues and succumbed to a fatal heart attack on February 2nd in Victoria, BC. Although his disabilities prevented him from living a full life, he was a loving caring individual who shared his culinary skills and volunteered time in the community when he was able. Known locally as Mike, he was an avid film buff and cartoon artist, who loved animals, playing his guitar and listening to music.

Predeceased by his parent’s, Luba & Richard Wedgwood and brother Alan, Michael is survived by his maternal aunt Lydia, uncle Laurence and, extended family & friends in AB, ON and the Maritime provinces.

At his request, a scattering of ashes at sea will take place later this year.

Alone I will not be my comfort will come from the sea. 

The stillness of clam waves will gently drift by I will be as one with the sea. 

When the sun sets on the ocean blue, remember me as I will always remember you.

 As the sun rises…go live life as full as can be Apart…you and me…but at peace for I am free.
