Nancy Judson Fairchild

Nan (Nancy Judson Fairchild) nee Whalen died on January 14, 2022 in Victoria.  She was 91.

She was born in Smiths Falls, Ontario along with her sister Judith.  Nan attended Mount Allison University and shortly after began a Silversmithing Apprenticeship in Copenhagen.  Metalwork would become a passion.  Back in Canada she became a Primary School Teacher, wife and instant mother to an 8 year old stepson.

The Unitarian Church became an integral part of Nan’s life, where she accumulated a wealth of friends, including Forbes, her golden years partner.

Nan was kind, compassionate, artistic, all wrapped up in a bit of gypsy.

Nan is predeceased by her partner, Forbes Leslie and her sister Judy Goddard.  She is survived by her step-son Lincoln Cordell and all seven of her nieces and nephews.
