Noreen Reimer, 70, of Victoria, passed away March 20, 2023, peacefully. She was adopted to the late Stewart McEwan Scott and Ethyl Annie Rowe, August 24, 1952, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Noreen received a BA in criminology at the University of Alberta in 1985.
Noreen is survived by her daughter: Brandie Reimer and partner Gerry Haynes, of Victoria. She is also survived by her sister’s: Donna Morton, Melinda McLeod, Diane Scott and soul sister Karen McKee. She is also survived by niece’s Kristin Morton and Danielle Scissons, nephew’s Jesse and Dana MeLeod, and nephew Shaun Scott.
Noreen was an intelligent woman and was very proud to earn her university degree as a single mother. She was a voracious reader from a young age. She had a passion for music, theatre and musicals. She passed this love of music and theatre to her daughter. She valued her family and the many friends she had made over the course of her life. Noreen was most proud of her daughter Brandie and often commented that she was her greatest accomplishment in life. Noreen was a special woman who faced many hardships and struggles during her childhood but as an older adult turned her life around and found the grace to accept her past and move forward with peace in her heart. She will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her. Rest peacefully and remember “I love you as high as the sky, and as many as the stars”, Noreen’s favourite thing to say to Brandie.
