Norm passed away peacefully on October 4th at the age of 100. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Winnifred (2000) and his brothers, Ralph and Roy. He is survived by his daughter, Bev (Rae Terlson, deceased) and his son, Bill (Valerie) and their children Theresa and John (Alicia), sister-in-Iaw, Reta and her family, nieces and nephews and his cousin who was like a brother to Dad, Stan (Helen) Clarke and his children. Dad lived in James Bay most of his life and helped build the James Bay Anglers Ramp. He worked at Bapco Paint before and after the war retiring from there when Bapco became CIL Paints. Mom and Dad moved to Sidney for a few years where they met wonderful friends at Twin Oaks. Dad's favourite times were spent at the cabin at Lake Cowichan where many happy hours have been spent since the early 60's. Dad had a wonderful life and his final 3 years at the Cedars were good for him. The family is very grateful to the staff and caregivers at the Cedars, Beacon Community Service and VIHA for their excellent care and compassion. Thank you to Karen, Carole, Pat, Beth, Mandy, Anita, Josselin I and 2, Clint, Theresa, Marina and many others who went above and beyond to look after our Dad. There will be no service but a donation to your favourite charity in Norm's name would be appreciated.
