Norman Joseph Wilson
September 5th, 1947- February 26, 2023
It is with broken hearts that we announce the loss of Norm, a truly beautiful, gentle, kind and loving man. He died in Jo's arms with Shelley, Justin and his beloved German Shepherd Zia at his side. Norm leaves to mourn his loss his wife and best friend Jo who's heart is broken, and who will love and miss him forever, also his daughter Shelley (Dave), son Justin (Rebecca), his pride and joy, grandchildren Jacob, Norah and Kylie, sisters Joan and Jean and a large extended family. Norm was the best husband ever, a proud Dad and Papa.
Norm (Papa) loved his Grandkids so much and really enjoyed Jacobs hockey games, Norah's figure skating and Kylie and her horses. He loved his family and enjoyed just being with the kids and grandkids. He loved music particularly Meatloaf, Supertramp and his Classical music. Norm loved fishing, camping, hiking and walking with all the dogs and especially Zia. He loved Ralph River and Strathcona where he and Jo worked for 11 years after retiring from BC Transit. Norm loved his park family and all the good friends made over the years working in the park.
Norm was one of a kind, thoughtful, and gentle who will be missed by all the family and dear friends forever. Special thanks to Shelley, Justin, brother in law Paul, nephew Sean, and Zia for being there for Jo through this sad and difficult time. He loved you all so much.
Also special thanks to Melanie, his home oxygen Respiratory Therapist who was so caring , helpful and always available . Thank you to all the palliative care doctors and nurses, Respirologists, and Respiratory Therapists, who made his final journey as comfortable as possible.
We love you Norm and will miss you forever! You were the GREATEST!
