Oksana Panasenko

"Oksana Panasenko, age 44, passed away on Monday, June 17th, 2019, at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, B.C. She was born March 30, 1975, in Mary, Turkmenistan, to Valera and Luba Panasenko. She was the younger of two children. Oksana was a spiritual seeker who remained focused on her relationship with God. She was a loving mother and wife and had many talents; she loved to cook and entertain for her family and friends. Her career included working as a television weather presenter in Russia, a skin care entrepreneur in Victoria and New York City, and luxury retail in Victoria. She will be remembered for her incredible bravery and her ability to bring laughter to other peoples lives. She immigrated to Canada with her daughter Kamilla in 2006. She loved Victoria and had lived here since 2007. Oksana's family and friends are deeply saddened with her passing and would like to thank Dr. Tara McCallan, the angels at Victoria Hospice, Island Health, The Royal Jubilee Hospital, and Barbara, for doing so much for Oksana during her illness. "
