Oliver Raymond Travers

Oliver Raymond (Ray) Travers was born July 25, 1942 in McBride, BC and died July 23, 2021 in Victoria, BC where he lived for most of his life. Ray would want to be remembered in a way that celebrates his life and he has left us many legacies to do so. Most recently the Shelbourne Street Memorial tree project. In addition to his legacies, Ray leaves behind an extensive network of family, friends, and collaborators who love him deeply and will cherish his memory. May Ray find himself held forever in a majestic forest full of pure water and air, and brimming with biodiversity. An in-person celebration of Ray's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the First Unitarian Church of Victoria, 5575 West Saanich Road.
