Patricia May Fletcher passed away late on December 18, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born to Arthur and Lillian Maddick in Kitchener on March 17, 1933.
She is survived by her daughter Christine, and her brother Douglas and nieces and nephews in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Pat worked on Parliament Hill in Ottawa in 70s, including a stint in the Prime Minister's office. After several years working in real estate development in Calgary and Denver Colorado during the late 1970s and 80s, she retired to Victoria, BC in the early 1990s.
Her greatest joys in Victoria were walks and storm-watching along Dallas Road, and the views over Juan De Fuca Strait to the beauty of the Olympic Mountains. She loved jazz music and the art of Maarten Schaddelee. She had a deep kindness and consideration for others.
Her daughter would like to thank neighbours Elizabeth and Stephen for their support for Pat over the last few years of her life; and staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital for making her as comfortable as possible during her last days.
There will be no formal service. Her daughter will have a small personal service with friends to wish Pat a restful peace.
