Patrick Rogers

Patrick 75, of Victoria BC passed away peacefully October 23, 2013 at Victoria Hospice. Born July 16, 1938 in Prince Rupert BC, moved to Victoria BC in early childhood. Attended St. Louis College where he found he had an affinity for sports especially baseball where he developed into an accomplished southpaw pitcher. Following school and a hearty try at a baseball career he joined the RCAF based in Lachine, Quebec. Returning to Victoria he married his sweetheart, Maureen in 1962, then resided in the Cowichan Valley where Pat worked as circulation manager for the Victoria Press. Provincial politics then entered his bloodstream where for many years he dedicated his efforts in managing numerous election and by-election campaigns; later returning to Victoria in pursuit of other business opportunities. Pat could be found proudly cheering his children on in their sports where he liked to show his vocal support! Predeceased by son-in-law Duncan Campbell, Pat is survived by his wife Maureen, sons Patrick (Leanne), Michael (Anne), Timothy (Michele), daughter Kathleen Campbell and 11 grandchildren, Patrick, Caitlin, Justine, Matthew, Tyler, Jordan, Wyatt, Dane, Carley, Deirdre, & Emily who knew him as their Papa.
