Paul Spencer Gateley

Paul fought a long battle with cancer and passed peacefully in Hospice with family by his side. Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years Deb, 2 sons Chris (Maria) and Steven (Jenn), his 2 granddaughters who he loved dearly Ulyanna and Aryanna, his mom Patricia, father Roy (predeceased), sisters Karen (Rich) and Nancy (Jim), sister-in-law Sandy, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Paul worked for the Ministry of Forests for 35+ years where he made many lifelong friends. Thank you to Paul's buddies for the golf games, walks, and his Starbucks. Paul wanted to wish a very special thank you to Dr. Karen Klingenberg, Dr. Joe, Dr. Fitzgerald and the staff at the Cancer Clinic. Everyone deserves to have as great a GP as he had. Thank you to the home care nurses for giving Paul excellent care. Paul spent his last 2 months in Hospice. We are extremely grateful for the love and support he received from Dr. Gail Sager, Dr. Jodi Anderson, all the nurses, volunteers, and counsellors. We are very fortunate to have Hospice in Victoria. At Paul's request there will be a gathering at Cedar Hill Golf Course on Friday, November 10th from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers please give to Victoria Hospice or to Victoria Humane Society.
