Paul James Johnstone

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Paul Johnstone, a loving Husband, Step-father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend.

Paul spent his final days surrounded by loved ones in the Palliative Care unit at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.

He was predeceased by his Parents, Daniel and Edna and his Sister Sally.

Left to cherish his memory are his Wife of 12 years, Judy; his Stepson Justin (Megan); Stepdaughters Carla (James); Courtney (Chunpreet). He also leaves behind his beautiful Grandchildren Quincy, Tate, Kira, Jade and Zayn; and his Niece Courtney and Nephew Brett (Cindy); Nephew Ben (Kari) Max and Charlie. Birth Mother Joan (Luke); Brothers Matthew (Danielle); James (Barb); Sisters Kimberly (Ron); Tracy (Fino); and many Nieces and Nephews.

Paul loved his life, his family, and had a deep passion for sailing. He had been in many Swiftsure races and sailed around Vancouver Island, which was something he cherished. Being on or near the ocean gave him much joy. He was also an excellent woodworker, and spent many hours making many different things, including a beautiful paddleboard that was his pride and joy. 

He was known for his witty sense of humor, and he possessed classic bantering skills. 

He was a great guy and will be missed terribly by many.
