Ralph Isaac Bennett

“Ralph Isaac Bennett, affectionately referred to as “Ike”, was born November 7, 1952 in Fort Huachuca, AZ to Fletcher Bennett and Elinor (nee Frey) Bennett. Ike spent the majority of his childhood on Salt Spring island with his brother, Fletcher Jr, and his sister, Gail. Ike was a devoted member of the Baha’i faith and met the love of his life, Kathleen (nee Williams) Bennett in 1983 while pioneering in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Ike and Kathleen moved to Canada and had four daughters. Their family moved from Victoria, BC to Prince Rupert, BC where Ike and Kathleen have spent the past twenty-two years serving the Baha’i faith. Ike winged his flight to the Spiritual Realm on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the age of 69 in Victoria, BC. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen and their daughters Jasmin (Brady), Cassie, Melanie, and Carmel and his granddaughters Maryn and Avarie as well as his brother, Fletcher Jr (Azar), numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his loving parents and sister Gail. Ike was a lover of art, music, photography, nature, and a good meal. He loved to be of service to others and his faith and will be fondly remembered by those who knew him for his kind heart and silly sense of humour. Ike was a proud husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed immensely by all those who loved him. A burial ceremony will be taking place at Hatley Memorial Gardens on Saturday, March 29, 2022 at 12 p.m. and all those who wish to attend are welcome. A Celebration of Life will be held in July 2022 in Victoria, BC with details to be shared at a later date.”
