Reginald Arthur Irving

It is with love and sadness that the family announces the passing of Reg Irving on March 19, 2015 at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Pat; his daughters Dawn Millen and Kim Aronec (Scott) and son Todd Irving (Karen); grandchildren Sarah, Beth, Amanda, Katelyn, Hailey and Tyler; by his brother Dale Irving (Barb) and his sister Donna Rodgers (Blair). He is also survived by his sister in-law Lynn Hitchen (Albert), brother in-laws David Cawley and Donald Cawley (Susan) and many nieces and nephews. Reg was predeceased by his parents Reg and Ellen and his brother Dennis. Born and raised in Nanaimo, Reg spent many years working in the Forestry Industry. After retiring from Western Forest Products in 2008, Reg spent his time camping, golfing, fishing and playing sports action with Scott. Reg was a loving, gracious family man who will be missed and never forgotten by all who knew and loved him. Thank you to the staff in the ICU, Dr. Houghton and special thank you to Dr. Nicole Baur for her care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nanaimo Hospital Foundation (Intensive Care Unit) in the memory of Reg. There will be no service or memorial at Reg's request.
