Richard Montrose Budgell

Better known as Rick or "Newf" to all who loved him, Rick passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospice in Victoria, BC. He was surrounded by his wife Cathy and daughters Wendy and Kristy Budgell. He was a loving husband and entertaining father, and would have done anything to make his girls smile. Rick was predeceased by his parents Hubert and Marjorie Budgell, Aunt Doreen Andrews, Uncle Monte and Aunt Nellie Osmond, Uncle Don Reid, cousin Danny King, and sister-in-law Lynne Ransom, and his best friend Paul Bisson. He will be missed dearly by his brothers (John, Kirk, and Jamie Budgell), his Aunts and Uncles (Aunt Marie and Uncle Bill King, Aunt Betty and Uncle Don Ball, Aunt Dorothy Reid, Uncle Ford and Aunt Salome Osmond), cousins (Bill, Lois and Lynn King; Todd, Scott and Chad Andrews; Derek, Keith and Janine Osmond; Natalie and Lorna Ball; Gregory, Lori and Susan Reid; Sheldon and Amy Osmond) and their families, as well as his nieces Kylie, Jillian and Rachel Budgell and his most favourite and only nephew Travis Budgell. Our family would like to sincerely thank everyone for their kind thoughts, messages, phone calls, prayers and incredibly generous financial donations. We would also like to thank the special nurses at The Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria Hospice for their reclining chairs, warm blankets and warmer hearts.
