Richard Peter Renault

With sadness, we say goodbye to a beautiful husband and loving father. On Friday August 21, 2020, Richard Peter Renault of Victoria BC passed away at home holding hands with his family.
Richard radiated life and love. He enjoyed a full career with the Greater Victoria School District - highlighted by the years with children with special needs at Victor School. He cherished the opportunity to work with children, helping them sing or walk or develop in any way. He loved music and cooking and hosting dinner parties - especially bringing together friends at Christmas. He brightened up any social occasion with his stories (often repeated), smiles and laughter. He loved to travel to warm climates with turquoise beaches as well as cities with music and art. Italy was the next place on the list. He was passionate about basketball and played in a men's league for many years. His retirement plans, cut short, included coaching a youth basketball team and improving his golf game.
Richard, our ‘big fella', is deeply missed by his wife, Shannon and step-daughter Lindsay, as well as friends, siblings and family.
