Richard R Wagner

d. May 31, 2020

Richard passed away in his home in the Highlands area of Victoria on Sunday, May 31. He suffered the loss of his wife Leslie just a few months prior, in February. He is survived by his three children, Deborah, Donald, and Linda, in addition to seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Richard joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the tender age of seventeen, which led to a passion for travel, the joy of flying, and a career in photography. He was an avid hunter, skilled in shooting game or great photos. Richard was known as someone who could fix anything. His favoured pastime was tinkering in his metal shop. That is if he wasn't sawing logs into timber, or turning bowls on a lathe, or diagnosing electrical circuitry gone awry. A military man, a family man, a solitary man ... he marched to the beat of his own drum, a law unto himself. His oldest daughter wished to add the following "In for a pound in for a penny" "Jack of all trades and master of many" admired by many!
