Robert Gillespie

Bob was born in Saanich and spent his entire life in this Municipality, with 70 years on Epsom Drive. For many years he owned and operated Gillespie Electric, later making a shift into politics which was always his passion. He devoted many hours of his time to Lakehill Soccer and Cedar Hill Golf Course. As an energetic and intriguing individual, he had a good run, self admittedly with no regrets. He leaves behind his son Doug (Lil), daughter Susan (Bob) Thackeray, 6 amazing grandchildren and 5 inspiring great-grandchildren, who are left with a multitude of varied and diverse stories and memories. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to his special friend Jean, for her never-ending love, support and dedication. Bob was predeceased by his first wife Joan and his second wife Jean, his son Steven and his great granddaughter Maddison. No service upon request. In memory, on December 15th his birthday, we encourage you to share a "Bob Gillespie" story. There are many of them.
