Robin Chow

Robin Chow (nee Murray) passed away on Friday, November 21st, 2014 at Victoria Hospice after an extensive 5 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born August 24, 1959 in Calgary, Alberta to David and the late Myrtle Murray. She is survived by her husband, Don and their children, Cari and Jonathan. Also surviving are her father, David, brother Bruce (Kim), sister Heather, and sisters-in-law Pearl Abel (Andrew) and Jean Perrotta(Michele). Robin is aunt to Diana, Dylan, Tyler, Matthew (Alyshia), David (Christine), Sarah (Jesse), Geoffrey (Tina), Rachel (John), Arielle, and Michael. She is great aunt to Gerald, Liam, Seth, Harlow, Evan, Jackson, and Gabriel. Her early life would find her active with skiing, swimming, waterskiing, and water polo. Later, family activities and supporting their sports activities was a source of pride for her. She was the loud shrill go blue at her sons soccer games. She loved watching her daughter golf. She loved her forest and beach walks with family or her dogs and cats. She was an active member of her church, Pilgrim United in Colwood and volunteered for many of their committees. After graduating in 1982 from the University of Calgary, Robin started her 30 year+ career as a registered nurse in Calgary, Edmonton, Wetaskiwin, Surrey, and Victoria working in maternity, medicine, and community care. Providing excellent care and relationships with patients was her passion. Robin is with God and she will live on through her family and friends. Her selflessness and love of others will be with all of us. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 28th at 2:30 PM. Gordon United Church 935 GoldstreamAvenue, Langford, BC. Reverend Erin Sterling will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has designated Ovarian Cancer Canada for memorial contributions.
