Left this world too soon on May 12 2022 at the tender age of 24.
Robin was a gentle soul with a creative spirit. We will miss his dry humour, his wit, and his bold laugh. He was a great hugger, a snappy dresser, and had numerous tattoos, many of his own design. Never able to grow a beard but rocked a mustache like no other.
We will miss his photos and his constant new hobbies like rollerblading, tote bags, collecting anything retro and junk cars (a family trait)…
He went down many paths and wherever he went he was valued and indispensable. His art and the way he approached the world will always remain with us.
Ed, Angela, Marena and Anita miss him terribly.
As well as immediate family he leaves behind a tightly knit and loving family of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends. Knowing that he is at peace and in the arms of his maker gives us the strength to move forward. When the waves of grief feel so overwhelming we repeat to each other:
“he’s ok, and we are going to be ok”
We want to say thank you to everyone that has held us up in this difficult time, we truly feel surrounded by love. Your thoughts and prayers are what we are holding onto and have meant the world to us.
A celebration of Robin’s life will be held at
The Church of Our Lord 626 Blanshard Street on Saturday May 28th at 4pm
, with a small reception to follow. For those that cannot attend in person, you can view the live-stream of the event here:

Robin struggled with mental health and sadly that is what took his life. We are suggesting that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the following organization of your choice:
WIRTH Hats . As most of us knew, Robin was rarely without a hat.
This local Vancouver company “is a social venture with all profits going towards mental health initiatives. WIRTH Hats is a tribute to loved and lost friends. It’s a commitment to conversation and openness. We aim to break down barriers and promote open dialogue to improve mental health”
You can donate in his honour and with each hat purchased a note will be included in his memory.
Foundry Victoria
, offers young people 12-24yrs access to mental health and substance use support, primary care, peer support and social services.
If you are struggling with mental health with thoughts of suicide please reach out to someone, anyone. You are valuable and loved. No one should be alone in crisis.
