Curtis passed away at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in the presence of his loving wife. He is predeceased by his son Troy and his brother Terry. He is survived by his wife Glenys and his two sons, Jason and Brice, and many other family members, friends and colleagues.
Lifelong entrepreneurship began with early morning paper deliveries (Butch, his dog, helping from the carrier basket), selling holly door-to-door at Christmas time, to creating the Pacific and Western Bank of Canada (the 12 th Chartered Bank of Canada).
Real estate developer, banker, fishermen and farmer were all orchestrated as CEO.
His vision of possibilities was unlimited.
Curtis married his high school sweetheart and partner, and they raised three hardworking boys on Cumberland Farm in the Blenkinsop Valley, Victoria, B.C. Busy happy fulfilling times.
Always active in the community, he was a volunteer fireman in View Royal during the time he was student council president of Esquimalt High School. Later, he sat on the boards of Saint Michaels University school and Camosun College for many years becoming the president of the Camosun Foundation where a scholarship in his name is presented each year. Curt was on the board of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) an international organization.
He was a multifaceted man who will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers and in his memory, the family suggests that you:
go fishing,
plant something
put out a fire
or hug someone special.
