Roger Dwayne Page Langille
January 12 1970- June 29 2024
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Roger "Dwayne" Langille. In the evening of June 29th Dwayne passed away in the ICU at the Victoria General Hospital with his mother and daughter by his side. His passing was caused by a cardiac arrest that happened in the early morning hours on Monday June 24 2024.
Dwayne was born in Hamilton Ontario to parents Roger and Dorothy Snook Langille. When Dwayne was 4 years old he moved with his family to Tatamagouche Nova Scotia, where he lived until 1993. He then moved to Vancouver Island BC.
Growing up Dwayne was passionate about sports such as Hockey and Baseball. He also spent many childhood years attending cubs and scouts. He loved drawing and was very clever in school. As an adult Dwayne had many jobs in lots provinces such as landscaping in Nova Scotia, working on the Oil Rigs in Saskatoon, he learned mechanics in Alberta where he also got his class 1 license and drove semi trucks. Coming to the west coast he worked on sky Scrapers instaling windows. Dwayne also worked for local moving company but his love for mechanics also brought him to a local mechanical technician job where he was happy. He helped many people with their cars in his free time.
Dwayne will be laid to rest together with his brother Ronald beside their father at the Lockerby Memorial center in Nova Scotia. Dwayne joins his belated grandparents Crawford and Kathleen Snook and Walter and Isabel Langille.
Dwayne is survived by his mother Dorothy Snook Langille, daughter Stephanie (David Hull), Granddaughter Kisabella Starke, step-daughter Shawna Lyon (and her family), Step Sister Patricia Bowen (and her family), Neice Jocelyn, Great nephew Jasper and many many aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of the family.
A graveside funeral for Dwayne and Ronald will be held at Lockerby Memorial center for family and friends at 11:00am on August 17. Dwaynes ashes will be laid to Rest with his Brother Ronald beside their father Roger Langille.
A Celebration of will be to follow at 237 Matheson Brook Road, Balfron.
