Ronald Duffell

Passed away on June 23 at the age of 62 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving family; Wife Jeanette sons Christopher (Lindsay) and Graham 1 sister and 2 brothers: George, Kathryn (Howard), Jeff (Annette), sister in laws Anna and Christine He was predeceased by his brother Bill and brother in law Stewart Ron Duffell grew up in Newcastle England. He was part of a family with three brothers and a sister who remained close throughout their lives. They are all proud to be Geordies. He came to Vancouver Island with his wife Jeanette in 1977. He worked as a civil servant for 35 years. Ron had an interesting and varied career which took him and his family from Nanaimo to Port Hardy and finally to Victoria. Retiring in 2014, Ron enjoyed the new challenge of starting his own business consulting company. He brought up two sons who he was very proud of and has since embraced a daughter in law. Ron had a love for the arts. He taught himself how to play guitar as a teenager, and was also interested in photography, painting and drawing. He is remembered for his wonderful wit, sense of humour and his persistence in improving his golf game.
He was a loving father, husband, friend and a great mentor to many. He is truly missed.
