Ronald Jack Johnson – October 7, 1942 to March 31, 2025

With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Jack Johnson. Ron helped raise two families and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Sharon, stepchildren, Kim Kissinger, Tannis Termehr, and Gordon Hilder, sons Johnathon and Chris Johnson, and nine grandchildren. Ron is lovingly remembered by his younger sister, Anne Hunter, and brother, Robert Johnson. Ron was born and spent most of his life in Victoria, BC, but enjoyed many adventures as a child and teenager while living with family near Quesnel, BC. He had a full and contented life, spending his early adult years seeing the world as a sailor in the Royal Canadian Navy, later earning his ticket as a heavy-duty mechanic, and retiring as a manager at the maintenance division of BC Transit. Ron loved aviation, and when not with family, he enjoyed building, flying, crashing, and repairing remotely controlled aircraft. His generosity touched many charities, his family, and the person on the street. Ron’s friends and family will miss his kindness, stories, and willingness to always help when needed, but we know that he is now at peace. The family thanks the caring staff at Veterans Memorial Lodge for their support during his illness and making Ron comfortable during his last weeks.
