Ruth Shirley Leland

Ruth Shirley LELAND – Born June 30, 1928 in Winnipeg, MB. Predeceased by her siblings, Ken Curle of Nanton, AB and Joy Thomas of New Zealand. Survived by Scotty her loving and dedicated husband for 68 years, her son Wayne/Sandra, granddaughters Kristina Alexander/Andrew, Joanna Thompson/Ken, Sarah Foster/Matt, great-grandchildren Tobias Foster, Kiana Thompson, Noah Foster, and one sister Laura Frost, Langley, BC. Ruth and Scotty enjoyed many years square dancing and travelled extensively throughout life to China, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Singapore, Israel, British Isles, Norway, Europe, Caribbean, throughout the USA and Canada; while spending many winters in Arizona. Thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at VGH and on 6C North for their love and care in looking after Mom in her final days. On November 2, 2021 she took her final trip home.
