Samuel Miller Pollock Miller passed away suddenly at Royal Jubilee Hospital on January 2nd, 2016, with family at his side. He celebrated his 81st birthday on Christmas Eve. Miller was born in Irvine Scotland on December 24th, 1934. He did his carpentry work apprenticeship at Irvine Shipyards prior to immigrating to Canada in 1957 with his wife Wynn. Miller loved working out at the gym and was an avid body builder his entire life. He was "Mr Hercules" on a float in the PNE parade, promoting the 1959 movie" Hercules Unchained" . A skilled cabinet maker who created many beautiful works including custom Canadiana replicas, folk art birdhouses, and original designs for his clients all over B.C. Miller and Wynn have 2 daughters, Louise and Angela, and 5 Grandsons, Mathew, Samuel, William, Thomas and Nicholas. "Papa"as called by his grandsons, will be remembered for his great sense of humor and happy times in the workshop or helping with his many projects both in the workshop and around the house. The family is grateful to the Doctors, Nurses and staff and Royal Jubilee Hospital 321 South. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
