Sean passed away suddenly at the age of 88 years young, full of memories and enthusiasm.
He was predeceased by his parents Phillip Davis and Loretta Cope, his brother Mike, his wife Susan Katharine Goodman, and his son Liam.
He leaves behind his daughter Shannon, nephews Liam, Patrick and Jacob, and caring neighbours from quaint Chemainus, BC and dear friends from Montreal, Ontario, and South Africa.
He was born in Ireland and spent his childhood in India, inluding time in boarding schools. As a young adult he lived with his mother and brother in Fish Hoek, South Africa. He immigrated to Montreal, Canada where he fell in love with his wife Susan, introduced to him by her sister, Maggie. Sean and Susan later raised a family in Sidney and later retired in Chemainus.
He had many stories and memories (and even more photographs!) of sunny days diving and on the beach in South Africa and hosting parties in Montreal. He enjoyed grilling, boating, garage sales, road trips, and long days at the Farm on Somenos Rd.
He thrived in his career at Panasonic and built many connections over the years. He advanced to a member of the Presidents Club and enjoyed much travel and hosting their guests from Japan with dinners out and a tennis match.
He loved meeting new people and aspired to be a host, surrounded by guests and friends laughing and enjoying a BBQ meal together.
In recent years, he could often be found enjoying a cigarette under a sunny sky at his seaside home, reminiscing the past and dreaming up an elaborate "next" adventure.
