Sharon Maureen Beard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Beard (Cannon) on April 16, 2024, in Victoria, BC. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Glenn. Left to carry on her memories are her brother Bob (Wanda) Cannon and her loving children Terry (Lily), Twila (Bob), and Doug (LaVonne). Sharon's dedication to her family was unmatched, and her love for us knew no bounds.

Born in Drumheller, AB, in February of 1940, Sharon married her high school sweetheart in September of 1961. They moved to Terrace, BC in 1967 with their 3 young children where they lived until they moved to Victoria, BC in 2018. Sharon enjoyed 30 years as a Medical Stenographer at the Medical Clinic and Mills Memorial Hospital until her retirement. Sharon lived life on her terms keeping busy with social activities such as Bingo, Cribbage and she loved Texas Hold ‘em. Throughout her life, Sharon was known for her gentle spirit, her laughter that could brighten any room, and her selfless nature. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In honoring Sharon's life, we will remember the love she shared, the laughter she brought, and the indelible mark she left on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
