Sharon Lenore Garrett

Sharon L. Garrett - October 29, 1951 - October 12, 2024

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Sharon L

Garrett (née Lane) on October 12, taken too young by cancer,

but always young and forever in our hearts.

Sharon was the beautiful, cherished wife and best friend of

George for 54 years. She was the mastermind behind his

jokes, the planner, the protector. She was the tender heart for

their German shepherd, Brodie.

Beloved mom to Kari, Chris and their partners, Rob and

Sarah; sister to Ron (Cheryl),Terry (Nancy) and Lynda (Bill) ;

sista to Nancy, Pat and Sue. Auntie to many.

Sharon's warm smile and quiet wit extended from her

birthplace in Georgetown, ON, to her original homes in

Halton, to her work at the racetrack, and on to her newfound

roots with dear friends on Vancouver Island.

Sharon loved horseback riding within the endurance

community in Ontario and riding with the Giddy Up Girls in V.I.

She enjoyed live music; hiking with family, friends and dogs;

and exploring parks and places in Arizona. She delighted in

joining in family pranks, word games or euchre with friends,

reading quietly, and the banter of loved ones.

She was the perfect hostess; warm and welcoming to all she

met, cooking up delights, and always game for a laugh.

Sharon lived her life with care and compassion for others,

organizing charitable concerts with her dear husband George,

sharing her horses for kids' therapy, always ready with a smile

and a thoughtful deed.

Sharon's loss will be felt by her immediate and extended

family and dear friends everywhere.

Details will be announced at a later date of a celebration of life

for Sharon in each of Ontario and Vancouver Island.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA or the

Canadian Cancer Society.
