Beloved mother, daughter, sister, nana, niece, auntie, cousin, neighbor and treasured friend.
Sheryl is survived by her dearest children Colten, Farrah, Mikayla, their father Daniel Newnham,
along with parents Irwin and Donna Pudrycki, siblings Barbara, Pamela, Len, brother-in-law
Jarrett Neuls and soon-to-be grandson of Mikayla and partner Jesse (“Baby JJ”).
Born in Stratford, Ontario to mother Donna and father Victor Neeb. Sher revered her elders,
often fondly recalling days on the farm with beloved ‘Grandma Green’ and spending time in the
kitchen or garden with ‘Gam and Gramps.’ Sher held deep love for her extended Pudrycki
family, all of whom were her kin.
Sher was a force of nature with a passionate zest for life. She radiated positive energy, always
spreading joy and laughter to those around her. She loved her family and relatives with a ferocity
that was awe inspiring. Sher made friends everywhere she went; she was known to take complete
strangers under her wing, sharing her humanity and kindness with all. Her passion, grit,
determination and guidance live on in us.
Faith and family were the foundational pillars in Sher’s life. She will be remembered by
congregations at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Victoria, B.C. as well as Mount Olive Lutheran
Church in Regina, Saskatchewan. Sher remained unwaveringly committed to prayer practice and
devotion until her passing.
Friends and family often referred to her as an earth angel - she had an intimate relationship to
nature, wilderness, trees, flowers, herbs, creatures big and small, the winged ones, sunshine and
rain. Her deepest wisdom emanated from her spiritual relationality to God and Nature. We will
all look to big trees and beautiful gardens in remembrance of her spirit.
She died on a Sunday morning at home in coastal Victoria, B.C. Sunday was her favorite day, on
which she would encourage, “take your rest and be with your family.” She passed on June 9,
2024 adorned with peonies and roses from her garden and the company of her closest family.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do
and he will show you which path to take.
