Stella Edith Vermes

Stella passed away peacefully at Victoria general hospital. She leaves behind her husband of 55 years Julius. Her sons Paul (Fanny) and Chris (Stefannie), and grandchildren Arielle, Annalise; Jordan, Tori, Joel, Jaron; Also left to mourn are her nieces Debbie and Mardell in Saskatchewan. Stella was born on her family's homestead in Carrot River, Saskatchewan. She was a school teacher in the remote northern Prairies, before heading west. She lived in Port Alberni for 44 years before moving to Victoria to be close to her children and grandchildren. Her passions were teaching elementary students, spending time with her family, and in her beloved flower garden. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Due to covid no services will be held.
