Mark passed away peacefully with family and friends at his side. The world has lost one of the kindest, caring and loving men. His laughter, sense of humour and smile could light up a room until ALS deprived him of those abilities. Although he was unable to speak, he communicated in writing and never complained. Mark decided to move to Victoria, B.C., from Calgary in 2015 to be closer to family. Mark was full of life until the end. He loved his music very loud as he travelled in his van. He traveled all over the island finding many quiet coves on the ocean, sitting for hours in the sunshine, contemplating the beauty of his environment. He is survived by his daughters Shalene (Florian), Celina ( Stef ), Charity, three granddaughters and a grandson, Gertrude LeBlanc (mother), father Arnold predeceased in 2014, sisters- Donna (Rick), Linda (Louis ), Kathy, Marie, brothers- Michael (Judy), Dean (Penny) and many nieces and nephews. We wish to thank the doctors and nurses whose care, concern and compassion supported Mark and our family throughout all his challenges with ALS. We also wish to thank the ALS society for their assistance and kindness. Those who wish, may make a donation to the ALS society.
