Terrence Joseph Laing

Terrence(Terry)Joseph Laing, was born on September 23, 1946 in New Westminster British Columbia, passed away on June 17th, 2024.

His parents Alex and Clarissa raised him alongside his 6 brothers and 1 sister. Terry was a grandfather, brother, uncle, mechanic, garden enthusiast and a master Mr. Fix it.

Growing up, Terry had a close-knit family that instilled in him the values of love, compassion and hard work. The love and guidance he provided to his children Jason and Kelly and the joy he found in being a grandparent. These personal connections were undoubtedly a source of immense happiness and fulfillment for him.

He started the first towing company up in Hope with 3 of his brothers. They worked many long days and nights, while also raising their own families. He was known for his innovative ideas and unwavering determination.

Throughout his career, he made a positive impact on the lives of many. He mentored countless individuals, helping them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Terry had a deep love for the outdoors and was a true fix-it kind of guy. He found joy in working with his hands and was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His passion for life and his unwavering commitment to doing things his own way left a lasting impression on those around him. He was a teacher in the truest sense, imparting valuable life lessons to his children and anyone else who crossed his path.

Terry had a love for gardening had a green thumb and spent countless hours tending to his garden. He had a deep appreciation for nature and found solace in the beauty of flowers and plants. His garden was a sanctuary where he could escape the stresses of everyday life and find peace. He also loved tinkering and building things from scratch

Terry's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished by his family and friends, and his legacy will live on through the lessons he imparted and the lives he touched.
