Timothy Mike Zahar

In memory of : Timothy Mike Zahar, born in Alberta 1960. Traveled with his family to British Columbia in 1971, where he attended school and eventually obtained his heavy duty mechanic's certificate. Tim's friendly, generous nature brought many different people into his world. Tim lived for adventure. His career along with his adaptability yield international travel. During his years in Africa he encountered and survived his battle with Malaria and Typhoid. In 2015, Tim met with a final opponent -- Cancer.
Tim fought with all his strength for a year. He was courageous to the final day, however cancer won. Tim was cared for by his loving partner Sandi Best. Tim was predeceased by his father, Mike Zahar who passed over in 2010.
Tim will be sorrowfully missed by his mother, Alva Zahar; his older sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Brick Betsworth; his younger sister and brother-in- law, Merry and Kelly Nicholson; his nephews, Michael and his wife Angel; Patrick; and niece, Gabriel and her family. Also, just as important his best friend Calvin Veenstra, and many other extended family members and friends.
