Ursula Read

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a special lady. Ursula passed away peacefully at Victoria Hospice on Dec. 10. She is survived by her loving husband John, Ruth her mother and hero and bother Martin. Ursula was passionate about many things but Golf was always at the top of the list. Over the years she competed in many tournaments and as her fellow members at Royal Colwood and Cordova Bay will attest, she was little in stature but a great competitor. In recent years she was employed as a Program Analyst for the BC Government and will be missed by many of her colleagues. During Ursulas battle with cancer she received unbelievable care from the staff at the BC Cancer Agency, the Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria Hospice. A special thank you to the Home Care Nurses that visited weekly and to Dr. Shaun Humphreys, who still does house calls. A Celebration of Life will be held for Ursula, the dates are yet to be determined.
